About This Spot
Stepping into Angry German in Sierra Vista offers the warmth of a well-loved neighborhood spot where traditions meet friendly service and genuine comfort. The hum of conversations blends with the clink of glasses, setting a relaxed pace that invites you to linger over hearty flavors and simple pleasures. The space feels approachable — a place where locals and newcomers alike share moments over familiar dishes, good beer, and the occasional local recommendation.
The mood here is unpretentious and welcoming, reflecting a thoughtful dedication to authentic German fare with an approachable twist. Whether you're stopping in for a Bavarian pretzel paired with a crisp lager or settling in for a plate of schnitzel that carries the care of home cooking, the experience is rooted in savoring each bite and sip in a space that feels reliably comfortable.
The bar brings a selection of German brews and a few well-chosen wines, making it easy to find the perfect match for everything from savory appetizers to the bakery’s sweeter finishes. It’s the kind of place where the joyful discovery of a new favorite beer or dessert unfolds naturally, often accompanied by a warm conversation with attentive staff who genuinely want your visit to be just right.
Angry German gently bridges the familiar and the distinctive — where the pace lets you breathe, the plates invite sharing, and the atmosphere encourages connection. It’s a slice of Bavaria tucked into the Arizona landscape, realized through dishes and drinks that are both an homage and an invitation to gather, explore, and enjoy.

This place is seriously awesome from the top down. This restaurant is clearly well managed and it shows through the waitstaff and the quality of food. My wife and I ordered different schnitzels and loved both of them. We got a couple draft German beers to go with our meal but unfortunately one was flat. The waiter was very understanding and was quick to make things right. We got a slice of 'Bee Sting' cake for dessert and it was incredible! Our experience here was amazing and would happily come back time and time again!

I'd learned about the Angry German's Bavarian Pretzel with beer cheese via Google maps and knew I had to stop by and have one while in town. I ordered one and asked for a good lager to go with it and was given an Angry Lager. Both the ginormous warm, chewy pretzel and the delicious beer were amazing!! For me, they paired beautifully. I had a second lager (I was lodging next door) and extra cheese. I will do the 1.5 hr drive from Tucson again solely for this pretzel and lager. I NEED this in my life!

This was our first time to a German restaurant. Staff greeted us as we entered the restaurant and seated us right away. It was a pleasant experience and we will definitely return to this establishment. I wanted to order the Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and mustard but they had run out of beer cheese. I'm not the one to pass up on cheese so I declined the order to go. We shall see if I return to order the pretzel to go on a different day while I'm visiting. I will update this post with the picture if I do. We didn't order any dessert because we were too full to order. Maybe another time. Happy eating

Stopped in early in the middle of the week for some sweets. We got the Chocolate Croissant & Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake which were delicious! Seemed to have a large Bourbon selection and well stocked bar w/ a small selection of wines. The menu sounds good, I would like to try for lunch or dinner. A bit lacking in aesthetics/atmosphere but the service was so great! Thanks guys for recommending the desserts for moms bday!

This is my first visit and now a favorite restaurant. I had the special - garlic and some other herbs Rahm Schnitzel with Spatzle, Red Cabbage with cucumbers. They also have a great selection of German beers! Most excellent!

Family owned German restaurant. We split a Ruben. Delicious. Also an apple cake. All homemade desserts. The meals are reasonable, but dessert is a bit pricey at $9. Moderate sized restaurant for smaller groups. But you can get by with splitting everything. Good service, attentive.

First of all, the staff is amazing. Everyone is knowledgeable and passionate about the food and attentive without being overbearing. Second of all, the food is immaculate. This was my first time trying authentic German food, and drove an hour and a half to do so, and I’ll do it again in a heartbeat. I strongly recommend this place to everyone.
